What is WordPress?

WordPress is a content management system (or CMS) that allows users to create and manage a website without requiring any specialized web development skills. The platform is free and open source, offering users a ton of flexibility in terms of design, functionality, and hosting options. There is a large and active community of WordPress users and developers who regularly contribute new tips and tricks to help new users get the most out of the platform. With WordPress, you can easily create an online portfolio, a personal blog, gift shop, online magazine, online course, or almost any other type of website you can imagine. There are two major types of WordPress websites. The first is a “blog” website, which is usually focused on short articles and is usually maintained by one person. The other is a “website”, which is usually a larger website with a variety of different pages to explore different content. In this article, we’ll be discussing deleting pages in websites.

The Steps to Deleting a Page in WordPress

Let’s assume that you’ve decided that you no longer want to keep a page on your website. As we mentioned above, the page editor is located in the “Page” tab of your WordPress admin panel. You can click “Pages” in the left-hand menu, select the page you want to delete, and click the “Trash” button at the top of the editor screen. You can also navigate to the “Posts” section of your WordPress dashboard and locate the page you want to delete. Once you’ve found the page, click “Delete” in the editing sidebar.

How to Restore Deleted Pages in WordPress

If you trash a page from your website but change your mind and want to restore it later, you can use the “Restore” button in the trash displayer to add the page back to your website. You can also add a page back to your website by restoring your website via a prior backup.
